Transport Hotel is the winner of the Best Marketed Hotel at the AHA Awards this year. This is a reflection of the passion, creativity and consistency behind the brand’s marketing efforts. In partnership with LT Agency, the venue has continued to strengthen its digital presence through a combination of strategic website development, SEO, paid advertising and ongoing campaign support. From sold out events to significant growth in online visibility and performance, the collaboration has played an important role in helping Transport Hotel achieve this industry recognition.

Partnering with Melbourne’s iconic hospitality venue

Transport Hotel is a multi-level hospitality and entertainment venue located at Federation Square, in the heart of Melbourne CBD. With three distinct venues within Transport Hotel, the key challenge was achieving both brand consistency and the unique selling points of Transit Bar, Public Bar and Taxi Kitchen respectively. 

Transport Hotel partnered with LT Agency to launch a new website built on Two Taps in early 2025, supported by paid advertising, search engine optimisation and email marketing.

Website Performance up by 45% 

The website rebuild prioritised on delivering a uniquely designed website that specifically met the needs of the Transport Hotel brand, with a challenge of achieving both brand consistency and the unique selling points of Transit Bar, Public Bar and Taxi Kitchen respectively. 

Post launch, the overall website performance increased by 45% across desktop and over 200% on mobile across just the homepage. Venue and function pages saw an uplift in performance up to 50% just a week post launch. This also translated into better website load times down from 19 seconds for mobile to less than 3 seconds.

Improving Organic Visibility

The improved website gave LT Agency a strong foundation to build on. With faster load times and a better user experience in place, the focus shifted to driving the right traffic to it. The primary goal with SEO was to expand in venue foot traffic and increase in online bookings in a competitive market. 

LT Agency targeted local visibility and domain authority through a combination of technical fixes, content optimisation and a full Google Business Profile overhaul. The results speak for themselves with a 45% increase in organic website traffic over 9 months. The average engagement time per session increased by 35% from 23 seconds to 32 seconds. Proximity based keywords saw an increase in overall rankings:

• Restaurants Melbourne CBD 67 → 4

• Steak Wednesday Special 73 → 5

• Live Music Events 53 → 8

• Rooftop Bar near me 39 → 10

While organic growth built long-term visibility, paid advertising was layered in to drive immediate results. LT Agency ran targeted paid campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and Google Search to amplify the organic strategy and drive bookings around key events and offers.

The campaigns proved to be successful with New Year’s Eve Event selling out in early December with the venue having to add additional areas to include waitlisted patrons.
